Our Alaska Rafting and canoeing trips allow you to take in great sweeps of country with relative ease. We travel in 4-person paddle-rafts or folding canoes. The emphasis is on the wilderness rather than on high-adrenaline rapids, though you may encounter Class II and III rapids on some rivers.
On “travel days”, everyone works as a team to load and unload the boats and maneuver safely down the river. Though we often have an end destination in mind, ample time is allowed for leisurely picnic lunches and exploration. River trips frequently include one, two, or three layover days, spent hiking, relaxing, or both.
