Deposit & Full Payment: A deposit of $500, per person, per trip is required to reserve space on scheduled trips or to reserve dates on custom trips. Payment in full is due the earlier of the following: 90 days prior to the trip start date or June 1st. If the balance is not paid when due, we may regard the reservation cancelled.
Delays & Schedule Changes: All wilderness trips are dependent on the weather and airline schedule changes. Arctic Wild reserves the right to change trip dates and/or details for these or other reasons. Trip charges do not cover the costs incurred as a result of bad weather, sickness, or other contingencies. Participants who vary from scheduled itineraries shall bear any costs thereof, which are not deductible from the trip prices.
Travelers’/Trip Cancellation Insurance: We strongly urge you to purchase travelers’/trip cancellation insurance. Your policy should include coverage for medical, emergency evacuation, and trip cancellation, as well as coverage protecting your deposits and payments for air/land costs, should you have to cancel your trip. Coverage should start when you send in your initial deposit, or no later than when you send in full payment and pay for your travel reservations. Folks have had good luck with Access America (800/284-8300) and Travel Guard (800/826-1300).
Physical Fitness:
Participants should be in good physical health. We will be in remote regions for extended periods of time. A recent medical examination and discussion with your doctor about the specific trip you are planning to join is recommended. We recommend that all participants undertake an appropriate physical conditioning program well in advance of the trip.
