Lodging and Transportation- Arctic Wild

Fairbanks and Anchorage are served my several US Carriers and directly from Germany with Condor Air. Most people find that the Alaska Airlines (1-800-ALASKAAIR) provides the best service, schedules and fares. Please book your flights to arrive before 4 pm the day before your trip and don't plan on departing for at least 24 hours after you are scheduled to return.

Alaska Lodging Options: Fairbanks, Anchorage, Homer and Kotzebue.

Whether you arrive in Alaska planning to spend just one night, or several, Arctic Wild guests have many lodging options, some of which are listed below. During the busy summer “visitor season” in Alaska, room availability drops and room rates rise. With that, we encourage you to book your room early, and to note that prices listed below are approximate and subject to an 8% bed tax.

For Arctic Wild trips departing from Fairbanks, guests staying at a place on this list, will receive the following: a ride home after our pre-trip meeting (held outside of town), a ride to the airport on the morning of our trip, and a farewell ride back to your room at the trip’s end. Free airport shuttles are sometimes offered by hotels and some B&Bs; it’s worth asking when making your room reservations. You may also want to ask about baggage storage and laundry at that time, too. For trips starting and ending outside Fairbanks, or for other more distant Fairbanks accommodations, you will need to arrange your own transportation.
