After more than a decade of working for Arctic Wild, Bill Mohrwinkel and Michael Wald are proud to carry on the tradition of quality guided adventures in Alaska’s most remote and beautiful places.
Whether rafting in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, backpacking in Gates of the Arctic National Park, canoeing in the Western Arctic or enjoying a basecamp trip in the Aleutians, Arctic Wild trips are impeccably organized, safe and lots of fun.
We hope our clients will return home at trips-end rejuvenated, educated and inspired. Our Guides:
Our guides’ skills are born of both experience and solid training. In addition to completing our annual in-house training all of our lead guides carry a Wilderness First Responder medical certificate and many of them are have Swiftwater Rescue training too. Arctic Wild is fortunate to have such a diverse and talented group of Alaskan guides. Some also work as biologists or mountaineers, professional conservationists, and educators. All of us have significant arctic experience. We want your trip to be fun, safe and educational. We are lucky to work in one of the world’s largest and most pristine wilderness and we are honored to share the beauty, spirit and fascinating natural history of the area with you.
